  1. No will.
  2. No tracking of beneficiaries for all of your IRAs, qualified plans and insurance policies.
  3. Wrong executor and/or guardian.
  4. Too much joint ownership
  5. Titling of properties.
  6. No advanced medical directive
  7. No power of attorney.
  8. If you have minor children, consider naming one guardian for your minor children and a separate guardian for the property you've left to support them.
  9. Lack of knowledge on how the unified credit works.
  10. No game plan on where to leave assets.
